My Hiiumaa was born about ten years ago thanks to Ave Alavainu. When I heard about her postcard exhibition, I immediately knew who to send the card to. When she replied and invited me to visit, I didn't know that the trip would become more than that.
We stayed in touch with Ave, calling and writing, for eight long years. Laughing at ourselves and laughing at life. Ave loved life and took it all in. That's why the Tallinn Design Festival satellite bears the name keik, which in Hiiu dialect means ‘all’.
Come to Kärdla on September 17 and make the most of the day!
