In summer 2025, Riina Õun took part in the Tiny Spaces, Deep Connections art residency in Athens, which required sustainable “slow travel.”
Over a month, she spent 135 hours in transit, crossing 18 countries and using 22 modes of transport. Together with local communities, she created a collective textile artwork titled “Memory Map of Eastern Europe”, now with over 100 hand-embroidered patches.
During Tallinn Design Festival, Riina invites Estonians to co-create by stitching the Estonian layer!
